Took me a while to finally write this post, but I'm doing it. Me and my friend went on our second trip to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to visit our friend that lives there. We left on August 21st and stayed for five days. To get there we rode the Greyhound bus like we did last time, which riding buses for 6-7 hours is horrible. Such a small space, the wifi or plugs didn't work on the bus, and your body hurts from being in that same position for so long.
Our friend lives in Bellevue, which is right by Pittsburgh but not in the downtown area so there isn't much to do or see. We mainly walked around by her house and tried to find things to do. Bellevue is very small so we would run into people that our friend knew. Lincoln Avenue was the name of the street we would walk up and down; it has many different stores and restaurants. One night us three and one other friend ate at a pizza place, which also was a carryout, called "Pizza Station". We were here for like 2 hours and ended up getting free pizza; the slices were huge! Another night it was us and an additional friend and we all ate at a Chinese restaurant. On our last day there we got frappuccinos and cookies, followed by dinner at "Grille 565". For one of the nights we all stayed at her friend's apartment out in Slippery Rock near the college campus. The next day we all went shopping at the outlet mall out there.
We had some good times in Bellevue and made some new memories; it's always nice visiting a friend you never really get to see. We are already planning a trip with a couple other girls to go back there to visit our friend at her dorm at Slippery Rock University. On this trip I will be able to see more of the campus and Slippery Rock area. We plan to go again sometime in October.
