Before Chicago: The Plan

So me and my friend have been planning a 2-day trip to Chicago, Illinois for December 9th and 10th. I came up with a cool idea to write one blog post talking about our plans in detail, then after we go on the trip writing another blog post to talk about how the trip actually went. We can see what all worked out, what didn't, and the cool new things we find while we're there.

Day 1 (Saturday):

We will take the 6:15am train to Chicago, arriving there at about 9:45am. Once we get there we'll go to our hotel to check in and get ready for the day. At about 11am we will leave the hotel to go check out the French Market. It's a really big indoor market, sort of like a food court, with a whole bunch of different types of food stands. After eating lunch here and getting other food or snacks to bring back to the room with us, we're going to go to the Chicago Cultural Center for a tour of the building. I really wanted to check this place out after seeing pictures of it; the architecture inside looked amazing and I felt I could get some cool pictures out of it. Also the building is like an art museum but also a library too, and more. Next, we wanted to make sure and stop by Trump Towers to get one of those popular pictures flicking it off lol. Then we don't have anything planned for a while so we're just gonna explore and see what we can find. At about 5pm we are going to the Lincoln Park Zoo for their zoolights event; different kinds of lighted decorations will be all over the zoo. This zoo seems really cool because admission is free for everyone! After this we're done for the day and go back to our hotel room.

Day 2 (Sunday):

Depending on what time we get up, we will plan on getting to the National Museum of Mexican Art for 11am or 12pm. The art in this museum looked so unique and pretty so I added it to our list. Admission is also free! We will then go to Chinatown around 1:30/2pm and spend the rest of the day there if there's enough to look at, otherwise we will just do more looking around the city until 5:30pm. Then we have to make it back to the hotel to check out at 6pm and get on our 6:40pm train back home.

Let's see how much the plans change!
