Windsor: the Party City

Me and my friends are on spring break and were off of school and work, so we decided to take a weekend trip to Windsor, Ontario. Me and my one friend have never been to Canada before and I've never been out of the country so this was an exciting trip for us even before arriving. We stayed at the Sunbridge hotel which is on Ouellette Ave.; this street was full of bars and clubs. The night life here is exciting for all ages. The bars and clubs we went to were mainly for people in their later teens or 20's. There's also a big fancy casino called Caesars about 10 minutes from our hotel, which had a more older crowd. It was also my first time going to a casino so that was exciting, until I found out how hard gambling is. The most we won was $30. The casino was very nice inside and there were 2 floors of different games to play, a bar, and restaurants. It's also a hotel, but most likely expensive.

We discovered and experienced some pretty cool places during our stay in Windsor. One was a cute little cafe called Toast where we got chicken & waffles, s'mores pancakes, and crepes. We decided Toast is going to be a tradition whenever we go back to Windsor. A really fun place we went to twice was a club called Level 3 Vodka Emporium. It looked cool inside, they played good music, and it's pretty popular. It was also cool going down by the river where you can see the city of Detroit right across it. There were a lot of cool murals on buildings too that I enjoyed.

We all really enjoyed our time in Windsor and had a lot of fun. We will definitely be going more often and now we know good things for our next trip! It's only about a 2 hour drive from where we live so it's an easy but fun trip to take just to get away.
